What we deliver, and who we deliver it to
A Clear Alternative has run bulk water in New Jersey since 1991. We deliver two distinct products, and we never mix the two — separate tankers, separate handling, separate paperwork.
- Bulk potable water for drinking, cooking and washing: households on failed or dry wells, farms, restaurants, schools, care facilities, emergency shelters, and businesses under a boil-water notice. Delivered in equipment dedicated to potable service.
- Bulk non-potable water for swimming pools, spas, ponds, dust control, hydrostatic testing, fire-suppression tanks, street sweepers, ice rinks, and construction and compaction work.
Common reasons people call us
- The well went dry or the pump failed. We keep the house running while the well is repaired or redrilled.
- A new or resurfaced pool has to be filled fast. Filling from a garden hose can take days and can push a household onto a painful water bill. A tanker fill is measured in hours.
- A boil-water notice or main break. We deliver potable water to homes, restaurants and facilities that cannot operate without it.
- Construction and site work. Compaction, dust suppression, hydro-seeding, concrete and hydrostatic testing.
- Seasonal and event needs. Ponds, fountains, agricultural tanks, and temporary supplies for events.
How a delivery works
- Tell us what the water is for. Potable and non-potable are handled completely differently, so this is the first question we ask.
- We size the load. Give us the pool dimensions, tank size, or gallons needed and we work out the number of loads.
- We check access. Driveway width, overhead wires, gate clearance, slope and where the hose has to reach.
- We schedule and deliver. Emergency and same-day delivery is available; call for current availability.
Cost depends on volume, distance and access, and we quote before we dispatch. Call 1-888-577-8088.
Bulk water delivery questions
How long does it take to fill a swimming pool?
A tanker fill is usually measured in hours rather than the days a garden hose takes. The exact time depends on the pool volume and how many loads it needs, which we work out from your pool dimensions before we schedule.
Is pool water the same as drinking water?
No. Pool and spa fills are non-potable deliveries. Drinking, cooking and washing water is a separate potable service with dedicated equipment and handling. We never substitute one for the other, so always tell us what the water is for when you call.
Do you deliver in an emergency?
Yes. Well failures, main breaks and boil-water notices are exactly what the service exists for, and our line is answered 24/7 on 1-888-577-8088.
What do you need to know before you can quote?
What the water is for, roughly how many gallons or the pool or tank dimensions, the delivery address, and anything unusual about access — narrow driveway, low wires, locked gate, steep grade. Cost depends on volume, distance and access, and we quote before we dispatch.
Where do you deliver?
Across the eight New Jersey counties we serve: Burlington, Camden, Atlantic, Gloucester, Salem, Cape May, Mercer and Monmouth. See areas we serve. We do not currently serve Cumberland or Ocean County.
